Making his Cape Town debut, vocalist / percussionist Fredy Massamba from Congo Brazzaville straddles hip hop and the jazziest of African fusions.
Massamba works extensively with Zairian / French pianist Ray Lema, as well as Senegal’s pioneering hip hop group, Positive Black Soul.
Grooving with Massamba for “Africa Day eKapa” will be Fred Hirschy, a Swiss bassist and programmer, and the acclaimed Senegalese Kora player, Noumoucounda Cissoko.
