Fronted and led by the chromatic marimba player Bongani Sotshononda, the United Nations of Africa is a Cape Town based unit which unites musicians of diverse African origin.
The group brings together a four piece rhythm section: Nicholas Dlakavu (drums), Alistair Gibbs (bass), Nelson Malela & Ricky Kleinsmith (keyboards), and a brass section comprising Jackson Kiria Kuti & Bheki Mkwane (saxophones).
